  • No, these procedures are painless. In some cases, we may recommend sedation to keep your pet still and relaxed during the scan.

  • Many tests give us immediate results (especially X-rays and in-house blood work). Others, like lab samples, can take a few days, we’ll let you know what to expect.

  • For most tests, your pet can go home the same day. If they need sedation or further procedures, we’ll talk you through it in advance.

  • Yes, especially in senior pets. Routine screening can catch early signs of illness, giving us more time to treat and manage conditions effectively.

  • We’ll always explain costs up front and only recommend what’s truly needed. If you have insurance, many diagnostic tests are covered and we’re happy to assist with claims.
